Restaurant “Da Nando” was built in 1960 by Ferdinando Nando Uanetto and his wife Isolina.
Thanks to their strong union and hard work also their sons Ivan and Sandro first, and their nephews Marco and Giulia, Leonardo and Stefano later, entered the company and brought new ideas and energy.
The Restaurant was renewed in 1992 getting 5 comfortable rooms for up to 140 people.
The accomodation in modern rustic style creates the right atmosphere to taste the typical dishes of the restaurant that are strictly bound to traditional food of Friuli and to typical products of our land.
According to the season Ivan and Sandro together with their chefs choose the typical Friulian products to guarantee their customers genuine and fresh food. For example, you get delicate asparagus and wild herbs during the spring, porcini and other mushrooms coming from our Carnia region during the summer till autumn-winter time, when Rosa di Gorizia, White Truffle are a must.
Polente Cuinciade, Prosciutto crudo from Cormons produced by L. D’Osvaldo, Formadi Frant and many other delicious products of our region can be always served together with the best early produce of the season.
We are now in the “enological heaven” of restaurant “Da Nando”, their cellar, which is on two floors and contains around 120.000 bottles – 30.000 of these are of international value- placed on big shelves
inside three rooms.
These rooms are air-conditioned according old methods i.e. using air ducts and perforated cotto tiles to regulate temperature and damp, so that wines can be stored for years assuring their perfect ripening.
The Cellar of restaurant ”Da Nando” in Mortegliano in the heart of Friuli is considered one of the most important in Italy.
The quality level of their bottles is really significant and in some cases it is even excellent, that there is the opportunity of making vertical wine tastings with the most important wines from Italy or from abroad.

For more than twenty years “Da Nando” has become a touring restaurant with their catering service, able to take their food and skills wherever required. Not only the ingredients for an unforgettable meal but also all necessary tools, from cooker to napkins, i.e. complete mise en place.It will be as being at the restaurant, no precooked or reheated food, but all recipes will be done on the spot.
From the most important events to those much more private, from weddings to candle-light dinners, from business conventions up to social dinners, the quality of our service never changes.
